Exclamation Places available for BSAC O2 course 24/4/05!!

Hi Guys

Sorry for the short notice on this one.

I am running a BSAC O2 course as part of a commitment to my previous club tomorrow.

One of the guys has dropped out so there is space for either 1 or 3 (due to ratios) people to get on this.

The cost is around £25 and includes lunch, it is in Ashton-Im-Makerfield (near J24 of the M6) and runs from 10am till around 5pm (ish)

If you are interested please call me by 9pm this evening so I can arrange it, 01942 729147

It is open to any paid up BSAC member of Ocean diver and above.

Thanks

James Sim

I could be interested if you no one else wants the place. It's a good few years since I did the course and could be up for a refresher.

I don't want to take a place from someone who hasn't done it before.

Just got back

Having done my previous O2 admin course way back in 1996, I was tempted when James posted that there was a place on a course he was assisting on today. I did post my interest then actually thought god what if I fail the exam, so I was actually very nervous about going today.

Well I have just got back from a very hard day both mentally and physically. The day was very intense, frankly I had forgotten most of what I was being taught.

When I was a member of my dive club in the late 90's we used to practice on Resussy Annies on a regular basis but since then I haven't done anything at all, continued practise is one of the very good reasons to be in a club. Anway the exam papers where handed out and luckily I passed with a respectable mark, having got two questions wrong and those were the usual silly mistakes.

I really enjoyed my day and I would say to anyone who hasn't practised these types of skills for a long time, go for it. I am sure in a real situation without practice you could muddle through but it is nice to have those skills reinforced from time to time.

Thanks to James for posting the space and for his club for running the course.
