Navy Diver, Army Diver!

Hey all,

As some of you may be aware.. i've sent my application in and it's been accepted by the Royal Navy. Fitness isn't a problem, and neither will the RT.

Want i want to ask you lot is which branch do you think would be best to go into, so when you come out of service you have good Opportunitys to get into commecial diving.. I was speaking to a guy at the LIDS today and he said he thinks the army would be better as they do more construction work, and use Surface supplied, the navy mainly use re-breathers?

any help on this would be appreciated, and positive please.

Sorry Dean you are not doing yourself any favours here. If you are asking serious questions then people will take you seriously, something I doubt very much at the moment.

Thought you'd already been accepted into the Navy as a Navy Diver???? The army doesn't sign people up as Divers straight in !!! My dive buddys still in 23 Engineers and a Army Diving Supervisor...opps to ya dippy

For starters, I wouldn´t call people names (Esp. Fiona - who is liked, which you aren´t), especially as it is fairly apparent you are the stupid one

However, instead of posting stupid questions which prove to the entire world and his dog that you have no f*cking clue, why not just have a look through the forums. Such as commercial diving.

In fact, as I am now in a generous frame of mind, why not try this thread, it may answer some of your stupid questions without you having to open your mouth and piss people off just by existing.

Change the signature and change the attitude, and peoples perception of you might start to change as well.
Then ask some normal questions, or search/browse the forums, before asking silly questions
