Talking Finally a Sport Diver!
Hey every1!

finally finished my BSAC sport diver qualification, after a day of brillant vis at 8acre
had 2 weekends to do the open water dives, as we did a lot of dsmb work at capernwray on the first weekend to try and get deployment perfect in mid water.
All in all, this weekend has definatley improved my dive planning and compass work, managed to find everything we were looking for, and more. Papabear and I had been trying to find the jetski for a while and finally managed it without swimming past it

Looking forward to stoney for some depth progression!

Thanks, really pleased with getting the qualification, got so much diving to do now, havent even been in the sea yet!
Have been offered a trip to oban, which i hear is fanatastic, so thats the first thing on my list!

Congratulations Shaun, nice one.

I was at Oban last year, it’s really good, the visibility is terrific. The Puffin Dive Centre just outside Oban is a really good dive centre, big shop, repairs if required, plenty of boat trips, accommodation etc. There’s also a camping site just up the road a bit. Watch out for tide and currents depending on dive locations, they can be pretty strong.
