| Blue lagoon rescue course Has anyone done any training at Blue Lagoon and what did they think. Looking at doing a recue diver course soon and because these are close to where i live thought about giving these a go. Any feed back welcome. Rescue diver + Three Days Theory One Afternoon Pool Session Four Days Diving Open Water Entry Fees to Blue Lagoon Included PADI Crewpack Included Emergency First Response First Aid Course Included Oxygen Administration Speciality Included Search & Recovery Speciality Included Equipment Speciality Included Full Equipment Hire Included PADI Rescue Diver Certification Fees Included £375 |
| ||||
| If you want all those specialities then that doesn't seem an unreasonable amount of money. A rescue course is usually around £250 with site entry fees on top so you're getting a lot for your money.

| Aye, don't know about the dive centre, but it looks good value for money with the specialities thrown in.. |
| |||
| Thats what i thought as dive centres close to me are charging about £250 for the course + £75-80 for the first aid bit and then entrance fees to capenwray and fuel costs etc seems a decent deal. Will nip down and see what the crack is. |

| I think Blue Lagoon would be a great location to do the Rescue course. I would ask how many people will be doing the course at the same time as I think you will get more from it if the ratio of Instructors to pupils is low. Cheers |

| IMHO, i think that a ratio of 4:1 is a really good ratio, allows a good bit of senarios to take place at the same time..... would make an interesting course Julian

| Going to pop down there early next week for a chat. Asking about student ratio`s is a good idea is there anything else i should be asking? Sorry not that experianced at this diving lark |

| experianced or spelling ffs |

| Whilst the price is good if you're not that experienced a diver then you might be better off just using the money to go diving.The rescue course is really good fun but I think you are better off leaving this until you're confident with your own skills in the water. With that money I'd have a week in Sharm and get another 20 dives or so under my belt.
