| Why spend 25mins on the 6m shelf? At the weekend surface swim over the 6m and drop down into the deeper parts. Let the schools and trainees do there thing. The Cove is all ways going to be like this at weekends, much better having a dip in the week.

| And people tell me I should dive there - stories like this make me realise why I never will |

| Err no. Actually we did a surface swim out to the Stanegarth dropped down on to it and spent about 10-15 there. That was rammed as well so we made our way up to the 6m shelf where we would use about 50 bar as we were both on 150. We get there and the place is swarming with not newbies but people with huge professional cameras obviously looking for sharks or something. We should have gone to the plane. ![]() |

| Well, I went to Chesil Beach. 9 divers, pretty much the whole sea to ourselves*. 13c water temp, 2m vis, calm conditions, although interesting entry and exits... Fantastic. dan *apart from having to share it with the crabs, lobbies, wrasse and Smallus Fishus that we saw. |
