| Thanks Elfyn and Terry for a really good day out yesterday. I was going to post a report tomorrow from work when I can download a couple of on deck photo's. I have to say I am glad it took you about 20mins on Friday night to talk me into it as it had taken 2 hours to get home due to the traffic and weather and I only drove 10 miles. Usual bad nights sleep so I was ready to get up at bloody 4.30am, set off atleast it wasn't raining. Loaded the boat and chatted to the other 4 guys on the boat 2 on OC and 2 on RB. We arrived at the dive site and Elfyn said I had to go in first just incase the guys stirred up the viz and I had told him if I didn't get at least 3 metres I wasn't diving with him again. Elfyn had already shotted the wreck having done it the previous day so down the shot line didn't need the torch really, the wreck was in about 30 metres the stern is upright on a sandy bottom there is a nice prop and rudder section covered in Plumose Anenomes. Lots of fish life, Bib, Pollock, Tompot Blennie, large Shanny, Edible crabs one of the guys back on the boat said he saw a large edible crab with a conger eel between his claws. Shrimps there was a mass of squid eggs on a rope. (I am sure that's what SteveW said they were last time). Not forgetting the huge lobster, must have been an old boy. Just into deco and decided to go up, don't know where one of the other guys was but I could hear some banging must have been the lump hammer he said was part of his weighting system. I met Elfyn on his way down at about 10 metres. After a couple of hours on the surface we dived the Dakota by this time the wind was picking up a little and getting abit cold. Only did a shortish dive because my torch went out the back up was fine and actually you didn't need one but I had enjoyed my day so was happy. At last enough viz in Anglesey, didn't matter how far, it was enough. Thanks Elfyn for convincing me to come and play. Last edited by Fiona : 05-12-04 at 01:00 PM. |

| hi fiona gald to hear it hit the spot ,was out today on same sites as you dived but on smaller tides again didn't dive meself today cos terry had to do some work but lads said the viz was well over 6m ,coupled with a mill pond of a day and sunshine i've been pulling me hair out in the wheel house dying to get in! totally gutted. as for you getting in first yesterday ya had no choice cos the other divers are regulars and into hand digging for swag so you wouldn't of seen a thing with em on it . i hope e'm photos aren't toooo scary! elfyn
