Dive-Tech trip to Cyprus for the Zenobia - Friday 22nd - Monday 25th April

So l've decided to come out to play.

Got to go back. Christ, that's a lot of diving that month!!! Twins and stages max. You can get a lot of time on this wreck on a single 12, let alone twins.

just booking our flights with BA, Juz reminded me to allow enough time to off-fizz! So our flights are:

Club class nothing. I'm going cattle class with BA (same flight Juz and Blanaid, so watch out for me on the free booze we blantantly won't get) total cost £146 becasue I only had 240 air miles. I had to use 40 of Mum's grand collection, they seem to go everywhere for nothing these days!

Booked, ready to go, and just making sure work confirm dates before the transfer of cash goes through (should be tomorrow Mark, cash in account and cleared by the end of the week all things being well)

I also got the phone number for the girl at Airmiles. She was very helpful, you can get her on Ext 8296, Clare is her name, and she knows the flight now, as well as the skinflints that are trying to get on it!!! I can't believe how easy that was. I think I might start doing this airmiles thing more often, girls giving their number out like that. Who would have thought!

I was going to book flights with Cyprus Airways, as I don't have any of these airmiles. The flights seem to be around £150 at the moment for the relevant dates. Has anyone had any experience of flying with them before?

Their website seems to suggest that they will allow an additional 20 kg of diving equipment for free (in addition to the normal 20kg allowance + 5kg hand luggage). I'll phone to check this if I do book the flights.

Even in the cattle class section they give out booze & nibbles. it's only the bubbly you have to pay for!

Just wonder if they show movies? It's a long flight to keep Juz entertained if there are no movies! :o

Cyprus Airlines will get a big if they do give an extra 20kg for dive equipment, we just need other airlines to follow suit!

I travel regularly to dive in Cyprus. I use Cyprus Airways every time from both Stanstead and Heathrow. I have found them very diver friendly. The 20kg Free excess bagage for dive equipment is genuine and they have no problems with cylinders so long as the valve is open.
i will be in Cyprus the week before you in April so if any of you are out before the 21st we may bump into each other.
Enjoy the Zenobia she is a super site.
