You don’t need to be good at swimming to save lives.

OBVIOUSLY YOUR STUPIDITY IS ONLY MATCHED BY YOUR INCOMPETENCE.

without sounding an arrogant fcuk what seems to be the big deal?.

i have always worked just on lat/long numbers its old school from the days of decca and to me proves you have a proper understanding of how to predict drift from wind and tide and put the the boat on the spot.
to take full advantage of the GPS position accuracy available its the only way to achieve it.
i have no time for skippers who can't do the job without the aid of a plotter.
if ya were a bit closer i'd love to take you up on your offer paul ,saying that i always put me money were we mouth is ,so you can always come up here for a FREE dip and i'll put you on something of equivalent size /depth if you'd like.
all the best elfyn

Got to go with Elfyn on this one.

With all the diving I've done with him I can't remember a single time that we've not had the shot spot on. To be honest I was surprised diving with Andy at Easter when we only managed to hit one wreck in four. Perhaps that was the conditions or just bad luck, or maybe Elfyn has some great trade secret?

Well I did think about that. Perhaps divers making their way along a 60m shotline in 25m of water was pulling the shot off the wreck. The viz was so bad we were all hanging onto the line all the way down. I know Elfyn adjusts the length of the shot to suit each and every dive.

But then we shortened the line on Monday and still missed it.

Some success then and a reputation saved!

Perhaps it was just having Fiona and myself on the boat that jinxed it!

No Mark don't say that we might want to go back sometime.
