Report from the Western Weather front

Hot off the press- Reports are coming in from those camped on the beach that hurricane force winds have blown out todays diving, tents were nearly lost during the night

Our on site reporter Scubanut is quoted as saying, "....it was a bit hary at times but now the calm has settled in. blue skies and calm seas."

Asked if he was going to cease the opportunity and fire up the torches for a night dive, laughter could be heard and the comment .... don't be silly it's beer time now... at which point the sound of burgers on the BBQ and beer bottles opening could be heard as the phone line went dead....

PS - No Basker sightings yet....

That's because the baskers are waiting for the main team to appear!

Surely we will be ok there from westerlies?

that'll be it - don't want them tiring themselves before we get there...

There is still lots of ice-cream to eat if the weather is bad!

The forecast has been changing like mad, so I am not worrying just yet.

Not too worried yet, they have enough problems getting today's forecast right, never mind 3 or 4 days away!

And as you say, there's plenty of ice-cream, not to mention treacle tart and clotted cream (hope I can still get in the drysuit after this weekend )

Well, westerlies and northerlies should be ok, shouldn't they?

Fingers and toes are all crossed anyway.

Our intrepid pair make it into the water.....

Our intrepid pair make it into the water.....

As has been rumoured elsewhere on these boards, our intrepid reporters braved the rolling seas and went diving, confirmed reports of Viz and pleasant warm waters......

PS.... No Sightings.............................yet

And so the intrepid pair did return to base after a good albeit tiring 5 days of diving...

After alot of pre-dive faffing a total of 9 dives were completed, 5 shore and 4 from the Celtic cat with the viz increasing day upon day.....yipee!.

Unfortunately we were not to be blessed with basking sharks so we had to 'make do' with dolphins on the bow waves instead

Just gotta get rid of the neck rash now

Whooooooo, hooooooooo no longer UK sea virgins........
