This weekend restored my faith in UK/Irish wrecks.
All too often I've dived to a kelp/plumose covered lump after being briefed that there was a 1905 3 cylinder Bloggs and Worthington steam thingy worth looking at only to find a big lump of something covered in kelp/plumose. Wreck? Nah. Impressed? no way. A wreck should look like a boat/ship/plane.
(I have not done Scapa obviously)

The Leinster was more like it, still in bits and coverd in anenomes but definitely ship like; loads of life and even moderate viz.

Also proof that LED torches burn forever. First dive on Saturday my harness (Richies own bargain special) broke and my LED torch went to warm the lobbies. Much muttering and sadness as I felt it was to die alone, cold and unloved. Great joy on the Sunday when Neil M surfaced with an extra torch, still burning bright. Big thanks N. The torch had at least 10 hours burn before it's "test".

Again thanks to Ron, Tom(I'm F****** British) and his crew - good approach guys an Linda.

Until the next time ..............When we will NOT enjoy the Water Margin. Noel especially

Glad everyone enjoyed the trip, I think we started on plan ""A" and ended up on about "F"!! At least we could measure the visibility in metres and not inches. It was good to put some faces to names and see how a group of divers who don't regularly dive together would react to the boat. Once we've sorted out the dates of our survey work, I'll post a "return to Resurgam" date and also the U-boats we talked about. Look forward to seeing you aboard again soon.

Best regards

Ron
