| Missus Woz does her 1st dive Took Missus Woz down to Stoney on Sunday where we met up with Janos and Lee (who was doing his first too). In at the quay and did some basic drills then off to find the small 4m blockhouse out past the pub. She did admirably well- a bit flappy like most first timers but she didn't panic when we finned through a complete silt out and was genuinely excited by the dive- she loved it. 2nd dive was more drills then down past the cockpit and down the ramp a little way then back into the cockpit for a photo shoot. She came back extremely enthusiastic and now wants to go down to Devon next weekend for a couple of shore dives. Cor is she in for a surprise when she spots all the colour in the sea compared with silty old Stoney. It's great diving with your Missus. Especially when she gropes your arse.

I had a great day yesterday - the sun was shining and I was doing handstands and carwheels in the carpark in a single 12 and a 10 year old BCD. It really is nice to wear dive kit that weighs less that you. I did a couple of dives with Lee (his first two OW dives) and we didn't stray much from the 6m shelf, but all in all I had a great day. The sun was shining, we had a couple of good dives, there was plnety bacon, and we had a bit of a natter in the pub afterwards. Perfect. Just goes to show that diving doesn't have to be deep and dark to be enjoyable. Janos

| Congratulations to both of you, your wife for the first steps in a sport we all love and you for being brave enough and rich enough to buy all her kit for her from now on......

| Nice one - and what a day to go diving for the first time! The only danger now is that she'll know how much your kit costs! I was also at Stoney for the first time on Sunday and completely failed to see anyone from YD at all! Must be blind as a Great day though, belting sun, nice dives, first deep dive, first trip to the Stanegarth and first wreck penetration. The only downside was the trek up and down the hill to the car park in undersuit and drysuit. Boy was I toasty! Topped the weekend off with AOW qualification |
