Just been to RS and got some lovely rubber catches like on the Evo but smaller so they won't stick out the back so much. RS do stock larger ones, so if you break one on the Evo and you're stuck there's a source.

Andy, I do trust the DIYBOD, but many others don't. It's a nice bit of kit, especially now it's got a decent case!!! The basket had to go, CE mark or no CE mark. OC course is trimix, need to get a ticket to buy the gas, as relying on LDS and mates is getting tiresome. What I do with the gas might be a different story, but I don't enter into anything lightly.

It was funny asking the guys to try and spot my unit amongst the sea of yellow and a fair few just couldn't see it! They mostly seem to have been expecting a thrown together piece of junk, and they didn't realise how easy it would be to hide that!

Digs.
Why did you keep your piss locked up in the car I never got to see it!.

Always one better!
Now you need a new hood to look like the Rocketeer and your own phone booth to change in.
New superhero in the making.

Fi your such a flatterer!

I enjoyed diving with you once again!
and it was nice to meet people... and meet up with people I hadnt seen for a while.

However, not to be a damps squid and Well before you guys all go into frenzy about going closed circuit! I have to say despite spending 4 hours tootling about following or leading rebreather divers around I am still not totally convinced..!!

Though being honest the trimix cost arguement is persuasive and I did like the Megladon and I know Andy H is doing backflips about how good his Ouroboros rebreather is..... no I wont be tempted - never confused...

The best bit of kit for me was Andy's scooter:- Zipping about the quarry was great fun ,when everyone had finished... and being able to give Phil Ennis the 'bird' as I flew past shall be forever one of my diving highlights...

Now if I can persuade Andy to take it up to Scapa at the weekend, then a lot of fun could be had....

Ian

From my point of view.....

Hi Rooster,

The Submatix 'seemed' to be very well received. What was interesting for me was to take people in the water on the Submatix straight after they had dived the Inspo or the Evo - after the dive all said how much easier the Submatix was to breath, lighter, less clutter etc etc which was VERY encouraging for me obviously.

Even Digger was impressed at how quickly people took to the unit... all seemed to nail the bouyancy control in a matter of minutes... no bouyany ascents and no ploughing the bottom...

I am also interested to hear some feedback....

Certainly one guy and maybe another 2 are about to bite the bullet and order one... great news!

Hope that helps...

Andy
