darkstar north channel trip

just a bit of info for people who may be interested there is an expedition involving the members of darkstar and a few bums on seats undertaking some dives around the north channel and ireland

there are an assortment of rebreathers being used between inspirations ourouborous (herobbedus) a meglosauraus and a mark 15 inspiration hybrid christened thunderbird 4! there has been one or two technical issues along the way however everyone has been ok

so far a dive on the tuscania in 105m and the andania in 113-115m has been dived by various members of the group however the weather has been pants the last couple of days and is stopping us getting too our true objective of some real needle benders however the forecast is looking promising at the moment for a long range wreck on saturday so fingers crossed

i will keep people informed as the trip progresses

we are off to dive the transylvania in 130m 47 miles from land at 5am tomorrow with the possibility of staying on station over night to save journey time there are 9 in the groip using various mixes and deco software so it willbe interesting to see comparisons

just returned from ireland having being lucky enough to geta series of dives on the transylvania fantastic viz you could see people on the wreck from about 70-80m and the wreck is incredible best ive ever dived the bridge bottomed out at 126m with out the need for a torch fulll ambient light it was gorgeousbest wreck dive ever
