Yep - I had one of those moments too, and a lovely souveneir bruise to take home. Not too elegant though.....

Just to re-iterate all those thanks for a great weeks diving. Will hopefully be heading back to Scapa soon. I personally leant a lot from the week. In particular after speaking with people about my kit config, I have upgraded my buddy since returning with two new “Baywatch Style” inflatable lift bags for added safety. I am sure those of you who were on Gig two will notice the difference!

And a special thanks to someone on week one who stashed the tube of winegums in the aftmost cabin. Didn't find them 'till Thursday, by which time all the other chocys had gone.
Cheers
Roy

I made it to the top of the ladder every day, (granted with a rope to help) after my first pathetic attempt..............it was a bloody struggle with my dodgy knee!

Aftmost? well........ the provider was one side, the consumers were ALL OVER! I can only deduce from this.......... It wasn't me........... didn't do the chocolate on the trip, no crunchies left by the time I needed them!

I broke nothing! Someone had already left a little present in there and didn't say anything when the "flush" didn't work. It was a problem with a spring inside the motor and not a blockage That Wednesday night wasn't fun cleaning and scraping! Garf proved to be a real mate when he helped me out, as I was trying to throw my ring up over the side! Still scraping it out from under my nails, and wearing shorts wasn't the greatest idea ever either...

Anyway, hands up all those that thought they got away with leaving themselves tied to the railings after trying to stand up with all their kit on Unfortunately, "Deck Bitch" was on hand with a camera and was able to catch the moment forever. Can't refute the evidence either, their name was on the cylinder!

Talking hmmmm

Andy,

So you have gone with "dutch" as your login rather than "Butch" or "Toast Bitch". OK, We will have a word with admin and make your tag line "Cheats at Pool" just to please foggy.

We had a great trip, lost torches, lost computers, lost fin, lost cause!

Only one scary dive on the James Barrie with evil current that dragged me and foggy down 10 metres with one fin in 20 seconds. Then up 10 metres in 30 seconds!!! You should see the downloaded profile (not as scary as I thought!).

Every other dive was fantastic!

For the record, JAG apparently broke two toilets (sorry Ian) but he's very sorry! Fatboy forgot to untie his twinset from the boat and spent the night wondering why he couldnt stand up. We eventually untied him when he got hungry.

Reeve went on a quest to find tanks up the hill and ended up scaring some dead sheep (Welshman).

The graveyard at Lyness was humbling (real word?)

Met my old club mates from Glasgow who apparently dived every wreck wearing viking helmets (true but unexplainable).

It were Reet Gradely indeed.

By the way, there were some bloody big guns on the Konig! (for Garf, Mary and Roy).

C
xx
