So you dive a RB. I accept its a slightly diferent game then. You must have gone through the learning curve with whatever agency on air though? I presume you enjoyed every minute of it without He but you done the courses because you wanted to and got where you are today. Better than having to do a gas course along side your first open water course surely? |

As a permenant mix diver (I'm only off helium when helping with OC pool training or when I'm diving the pure Oxygen IDA rebreather) I see people narked much shallower than people expect it. I see people slow, I see them making simple handling errors, I see them just plain getting it wrong and when I ask about it after the dive they often don't remember a problem and that pushes my idea of an acceptable END shallower and shallower. Now I'm not going to impose my ideas on other people. I'm no Guru just a person who knows how hard it is to know something. I read forums like this to add to the knowledgebase between my ears and hopefully it protect me much as listening to everything I could protected me in a former hobby. I've surrounded myself with equipment so I can look after my own gear and mix my own gas. I want to be responsible for the things my life depends on. If that means my opinions come over a bit loud at times I'm sorry, they were hard work for me too. |
