| Right, congratulations etc. but what is the point?? I know this will offend a lot of people but what is the point of this? We go diving to see things, how does a blind person do this? I am FULLY in agreement with handicapped people doing as much as they can, and that includes diving, but what is the point in diving if you can´t see what is going on around you?? This is like most world records that are broken by singularly pursuing the goal of breaking them, like the depth records etc. People do this to make themselves feel important, why go to 330m (or whatever itis now) and spend 20 seconds just to say you are the deepest ever diver?? Why go to 103m, see f*ck all, just to say you are the deepest blind diver ever?? Sorry if this upsets people but this is just my take on stuff

What he said. If you actually believed in your own signature rather than just putting it up as a clever tag line then you would understand. I cant imagine what it would be like to do any dive totally blind but if doing this gave the man a sense of achievement then good for him. I am just as baffled by people who wish to climb mountains or ride motorbikes across the Gobi desert. I think they are slightly mad but I can equate on some level to the need to push them selves.
