Marsa Alam

Just back from Marsa Alam. Quite easily the best holiday we have had. The water temp at the surface was 32C and was still 29c at 40m at Elphinstone. We went for 2 weeks and dived 18 times. All the dives were great with all the usual red sea life, but the special ones were Elphinstone with the Hammerheads which I caught on video. We have taken lots of photos of the turtles and Dudong plus everything else but have no clue how to show them here, perhaps just as well because we are total photo novices. The coral is fantastic and really adds to the colour of the dives. The air temp was 40c+ but was made bearable by the lovely sea breeze. I chose to dive in just a rash vest and it was ideal, even at depth. I'm not one for long reports so that is just about it. Thanks for reading.

Dived with Pioneer divers. They were very good, such as taking only 3 divers to Elphinstone when it was min 4 etc. They were really quiet (50% down) which was good for us as it meant 3/4/5 divers on a dive but i felt sorry for them as it should really be buzzing this time of year. Forgot to mention in report that we swam with 30/40 dolphins at Shaab Samadai which was ex.

I did see the last half of one but not enough to take a photo. But the Hammerheads made up for that, I was well chuffed. Also big schools of Tuna and Barracuda. Over 500 photos in 2 weeks ( of which i will keep about 25) .
