    Hi Garf

I missed the bit on your thread about not sending you green. My apologies for not complying with your wishes. I sincerely hope you are not offended. I was just so gobsmacked by what you put. God bless you both and I'm so glad you are both here to tell the tale.

    Kind regards

Helen I have a feeling that was added after because I didn't see it either, I looked for JW on the members list, does he post ? I missed out the dots in JW's name = j.w.

That's a sobering story. Glad to see you both made it back safe. Well done to all concerned.

My goosepimples are still standing and i cant shake the shivers i have had since reading your trip report. I dont know you or JW but christ the affect on me reading your report made me feel that you was a close friend.
I am so glad you are both around to write up this report in the hope that your experience helps others.

Look what happens when I leave you two alone..

I had to pull out of this dive at the last minute due to going down with a poxy cold for the second year running on the same day, for the same dive and was acting as temporary deck bitch. I don't need to add anything else as much analysis has already taken place, other than from the moment I saw John on the surface alone, through seeing Gareths smb on the surface and subsequent recovery to the boat and to John walking out of the pot, I have never felt so scared and helpless and can admit that tears were shed throughout the day, tears of total relief.

Lessons learnt: Stay in a b&b so as not too catch colds

Actually Garf, it's not a very good trip report.
You hardly mention anything about the Markgraf.

Next time please pay more attention, there are some big guns under there that the YD massive would've liked to have read about.

I think the most important point is being overlooked by everyone...JAG is still a Markgraf virgin .

Well done Garf, as we said at the time and has been repeated here, you and John both made the right decisions and neither of you have any cause to beat yourselves up. Good to have dived with you again and look forward to the next time.

You might not agree both of you but any dive is a good dive if you make it back, just you two took the longer, harder route!!!
Glad you are both OK, some lessons will be learnt from this report. I bet those beers you shared after were the best you had ever tasted.
