| saturday on the Scylla well this was my first dive since the Salsette and i wanted to get back into the water so i booked a nice simple dive on the Scylla and JEL for Saturday, i turned up at 10:00 to find Kirste and Turb there i stowed the kit after some ribbing for taking my new twin 18's on this dive, i had kitted them up with a drop in the system of 1 Kg from the 15 setups to see if the trim was OK, so off to the Scylla and i manage to waddle the length of the boat to get to the exit point, by this time i have slung an AL80 on my harness, more HOW long are you going for!!! and see ya Sunday, i was glad to get into the water for two reasons get away from the banter and to ease the weight on my shoulders, the trim on the 18's was nearly perfect just some slight adjustments needed now i spent a good 55 minutes on the wreck to get rid of some demon's and play abit on my own free from nets after a few swim troughs and a few minutes in the engine room i decided to end it and head for the surface, sure enough Dougie was there (Aquanauts) to pick me up even the lift struggled getting this lot on board but after being back on Aquanaut, out come the pasties and apple pies now i have known Dougie for some time so this was new to me and i did check mine for extra chili or pepper but nothing, and a nice surprise second dive were back in but i team up with Turb and Kirste for the first part to find the rear of the JEL a part i haven't seen, we found the line from the stern of the lane to the rear section now this is very good section with a swim through, i leave Turb and Kirste and shoot off to explore the wreck after 46 minutes i call it a day and start the ascent looking at my gauge i still have 130 bar mmmm so i start dumping air to get it down to 50 bar so i can check weight i think I'll need an extra kilo, on the surface and Dougie's not far off back on the boat and off for tea and medals, this was probably one of my hardest dives and it took me half the first dive to settle down, but I'm glad to have friends there to take the piss and taunt me great day and a nice pint afterwards

| And thank you to Milldog for helping me get untangled from the shot line on the JEL. I'm sorry I accused you of trying to stroke my inner thigh while Turbie wasn't looking

18's and stages on the Scylla! Mebbe we should start a thread for the most over rigged diver on a checkout dive. I did twin 12's and 2 stages on the Outer Mulberry at Selsey once. Re: the mickey-taking, it's all part of the service, I did warn Dougie to keep away from you to avoid this ![]() Good to meet you (again) Paul

Thanks for that report Milldog, all that kind of stuff is handy for us novice and twinset beginners and I would have thought it better/nicer to check out new kit there than an inland site, given the option and conditions Besides, UK diving just wouldn't be UK diving if someone wasn't taking the pi$$ Also, I seem to have started a love affair with The Scylla and, if I could, I'd dive it every week
