| Fantastic trip report Blanaid! We were in Norway in July and had an awesome time too! We saw the Gaelic Rose, but actually stayed on the Jane R.

| Thanks for this great report. I went to this same area last April. I dived on several of the described wrecks too. (I was planning to leave a report as well but ..... may be later). Any way, I went to Gulen which is an island group near the Norwegian city Bergen. From Gulen Diving Centre (really nice location moreover a nice and friendly owner Ørjan Sandnes). It is a superb location as it is located in the middle of the fjords; it has (of course) a sauna, hot tub and a pub on site. The majority of the nice wrecks are not far from here. I dived myself the Frankenwald, Ingerseks, Ferndale and Parat, the Havda and a few scenic dives like Stingray alley. The viz was amazing around 50-60 metres. On my dive at the Ferndale and Parat I did not needed a torch at the bottom (60m). It is an amazingly nice wreck, rather intact, nice features and good marine live. The rock where it against collapsed is full of marine life and because of its depth it is perfect for your deco stop. I certainly will go back to that place, the dives are extremely good but the surrounding is also stunning. More information about the dive centre you can find here: GULEN DIVING CENTRE - Home Best regards, Robert-Jan

| Great report as always, Blanaid good to here that you and Jaz had a great time safe diving dave |

| Really enjoyed the report, Blan. Neither cold water or various probs with your unit deter you. Gutsy UK female diver of 2006? What do others think? Charlie |

but there are others doing the same & much better than me out there, I'm just the verbose one that writes about it all! I love diving, I dive because I love it, I don't need badges nor acknowledgements, the joy of being 'sub aqua' is enough........... and I will still write long winded reports! Thanks anyway C!
