nice report i live 5 min from westward Ho next time you want to dive this give me a call and I'll sort the boat for you in clovelly

lundy is 1:15 min trip from here and a good area for me to practise

This thread brings back memories. I was a young sprog in the RAF based at Chivenor near Barnstaple in the early 70's.
In those days there was only one tent allowed at a time on the island, and you could camp anywhere.
My and mate would camp out there for 3 weeks and just chill out and generally get inebriated every night in the Mariscoe Tavern where live music was the self entertainment.
I do have one memory of a night on the beach. Kegs of beer were brought down from the tavern and the divers supplied the fresh crayfish for the BBQ .. beautiful !
