My holiday in Gozo - a poem, by Sue aged 26 and a bit (not)

I went to Gozo to do some diving;
Better than work, on YD, skiving.

We saw lots reefs and fishies and caves;
went up and down chimneys - some of my faves.

We dived the new wreck, that was quite bizarre;
And as for the viz, we could see waaay too far.

I made lots of mates, we had fun in the sun;
Dive guiding made easy, I'll follow your bum

My 200th dive Danny found me a seahorse;
Was I delighted? Well, that's an "Of course!"

I slept on the boat deck right under the stars;
There was more than just Pluto and Venus and Mars.

Awoke in the morning looked down in the lagoon;
Jumped in in my jim jams, what a buffoon.

So now I'm back home, whilst my suntan is fading;
I'm making more plans, for diving's never ending.

The end

No poem but I'd like to add that we got back from Gozo yesterday and it was superb
Dived both the new wrecks, the Azure Window and several caves and had a thoroughly excellent time.
Drank far too much, very good but stupidly cheap wine and ate more pizza and pasta than any man has a right to. I shall certainly be going back

My only complaint is that I didn't get a call from the other yders on the island so missed out on a name/face, beer session.

I wont mention the fact that I was stupid enough to leave my list of names and numbers at home so couldn't call them

Sorry, I lost your phone number - I was sure I had it in my phone. And I went to 'The Creek' to use the internet, dial up FFS it took me forever and I still couldn't find the email with your details! You could have call me though As it happened I only managed to catch up with Tony, Sue and Sophie, and that was by accident at the Inland Sea as I was getting out and they were getting in .

No problem, glad you had a good trip.
Next time we'll need to make some more definite arrangements like, 2nd Ice Cream van from the left at the Blue Hole

Hi Sue,
Glad you had great time, the same thing happened (lost numbers) to me and by the time I got on the internet it was a bit late to contact anyone
anyway since you dived the new wrecks this thread might interest you?:-

Gozo's New Wrecks

By the way did you take that photo of the seahorse in the Coral Cave? As Sandie got a photo of a shy seahorse in there ( she could only get the back of its head )

Yes, I picked up your email when I got home hey ho.

I did see that link, and indeed replied to it.

Yes the seahorse was in Coral Cave, less of a cave more of a cavern We never found any rays though
