My Best dive this year Saturday 2.09.2006

Just like to say yesterday was my best dive on the south coast this year.
Having dived on the breda from oban in scotland recently on hols come back to dover to not so good weather. Anyway we set of to dive the strathclyde around 9am with wind and sea getting worse with my buddy woundering weather to cancel because it was getting too choppy. Anyway we got down the shot line to my surprise 6 meters viz wow and so peacfull. I thought to myself I have been trying to dive this wreak all season but with it being to close in to dover we give it a miss and go further from dover. The wreck was covered in big crabs biggest dog fish i have seen lovely lot's of fish about bagged a few lobsters with plates and ink wells exelent dive didnt expect so good viz.

My last's years best dive was the kyarra (swanage) with first class skipper mike

Yup, the Strathclyde is a quality dive and only 1 1/4 miles out of the harbour. We were 2 miles west on the Angleus and had a good one as well.

Glad you enjoyed it Roy. Vis was very good. I only used my torch inside. The lumpy ride back to Dover was pretty good too!
