| today was a lot better on u772 Lou but very dark, i must admit i tried my best to get a shark over ...... i was chumming it all the way out and back with Gary mmmmm no sharks despite the Chicken soup, bacon roll, hot chocolate and biscuits, and that was one or the worst dives i have done. you forgot to mention Tango running over one of our divers and then getting all arse about the signals well at least i got to go in GUE shop, so it wasn't all bad

Anyway Lou forgot to mention i replaced C on her dive earlier this year with Puddle Pikey Sister Fi I suspect you over exerted your ear drum when it was a bit sticky, this can lead to dizziness and is quite disorientating, i have seen several divers do this and get quite freaked out, and i did it myself a couple of years ago on a dive on the Anderman, which is the only time i have sacked a dive in water as i could not clear the damn ear after 15 min of trying I find when there is a swell bouncing my DSMB letting it go and swimming around it, watching the line not the bouncing reel is the best option, we get the same problem decoing on the shot line off Dover, the dives last week were terrible for this, but hey the dives and wrecks were fantastic Better luck next time

| I think the YD-Massif need to learn a bit about Neaps and Springs (and Mega-Springs Lou, I'm really surprised you put yourself in this position, I thought you had a decent head (now-now-Finless, lie down!) on you. We've had a great week of weather (no iffy/rough stuff here) but even though the sea is only 200m away and full of treasure it's been a period of "don't bother". As guessed, the vis is shite, there's not much (if any Glad you all made it back without incident, more by luck than anything... Sorry, but it has to be said... |

| Well we had a great day out yesterday in Brighton. Swells were about a couple of foot on the way out and a foot on the way in. And viz was 5m. And "Sick Nick" who throws up when his car goes over a speedbump kept all his breakfast down and even looked like he enjoyed being on a boat. So it just goes to show that there's nothiing more capable of surprises than the sea. Janos

To be fair it was rough, but it was not the roughest I have been in, even on a neap, and currents on the wreck were not a problem - we had virtually no current the whole time we were ont he wreck - so about 25 mins, and the skipper had told us to expect 30 minutes slack. The viz wasn't the issue though, although it did mean a pretty shitty dive, again we have had nice dives in far worse. My real issue with the dive was the ears/vertigo - everything else was just minor annoyance time that stacked up. You have to say that when both Tango and Skin Deep are also on site it isn't a bad call by the skipper. Ian of SkinDeep alone is highly thought of and I think he is a cox (?) for Weymouth lifeboat. To be honest, if I had bothered to realise it was the biggest tides for 10 years I wouldn't have booked - but we rushed into it having had both previous weekends cancelled. I take you advice on board anyway, so thanks. p.s - the tide charts for Sat gave about 2.5-3m above chart datum.
