First visit to ST Abbs..........

and what a fatantastic weekend it was, even the weather held out for us and we were actually sunbathing during the surface interval.

Our accomodation in Scoutscroft Caravan Park was adequate and clean, however it didnt offer much privacy and sharing with 6 men 5 of whom farted and snored throughout the night was an experience.
We used the dive boat Topline for the 2 days diving and each dive site was very different. I suffer from vertigo and didnt think I could ever travel up or down that ladder on the harbour wall but eventually could do it without verbal encouragement from me mates and helping hand from Paul the skipper.
Visibility was excellent best I have seen in UK diving (not that I am an expert on this). Thanks to the divers from Sheffield who was on same boat who happened to find my weight pouch at 15 metres that had slipped from my harness just as I had completed my 3 minute stop at 6metres. I ascended the last 4 metres rather rapidly.

Anyways a thumbs up to St Abbs and Topline dive boat skipper Paul.

Excellent glad to hear that you had a fabbo time...

Gary and I were up at St Abbs for the Pre Farnes trip and dived the Glanmire wreck and the viz was 'stunning' at around 15 metres or so...so I think you are probably right with your observations

Glad to hear the you were reunited with your weightpouch

Cheers

Kathy

My diving has only really taken off this last year (coinciding with joining both YD and BSAC). Despite living quite close, I 'discovered' St Abbs And Eyemouth this year and haven't looked back!

Really pleased you liked it yazzy.
