Arfy

I think I would agree with you - overall, I thought the diving was better than Egypt, but not enough to justify (to me) a 50% increase in cost. However, if there was a deal to Sudan which made the price comparable to Egypt, then I would certainly go back.

Still trying to get some pictures up, but since I am virtually computer-illiterate, it may take a bit longer!

Was on the R Emp. at beginning of Oct.

I agree with the above poster.

As to getting more value I would state that I went in a group (boat full with 16 divers - no problem) with TBS.

Main advantage of same was the way we were handled by the reps on landing. Excellent processing of visas/passport control/luggage etc. This meant that we actually were ushered ahead of the queue in some instances.

Altogether an enjoyable experience, and adds to the value. BTW if 15 book, the price of the sixteenth is divided across the other divers, meaning a further discount.

Final recommendations for someone along way away

I'm heading to Europe from Oz in August 2007 and was looking to do a weeks diving during the first week of September. Naturally, I'm looking for the best experience possible so I wonder if I could get your opinion on which way to go.

There is a ' Sudan Discovery' running through TBS that week but it is expensive compared to the Hurricane - Rocky Isl., etc. trip (1450 vs 1050GBP).

Which would you guys recommend?

The other factor is that I'm flying back to Australia from Frankfurt so everything would be better if the flights started and ended there.

Any assistance appreciated.

Micchael
