Excellent day out; perfect weather, really god viz, ambushes ;-) and great banter.

Nice to meet you all and thanks to Howard for organising it.

A pictures worth a thousand words, and the one Howard P posted of the Dude considerably more.

Okay guys here are a few pics that I’ve tweaked.
I’m really peed off tho as the St Dunstan pics ended up being shot as JPEGS. Although I had set the camera up the night before to shoot RAW it must default back to RAW and stupidly I didn’t notice…………..thought it was saving them quickly! Consequently the Dunstan ones are not as good as I had hoped which is very annoying as the viz was so good. The James Fennel I did them all as RAW and considering the viz on that one was pretty shite they are not too bad. At least it’s a bit more practise at this RAW stuff for me.
I think I’ll probably change the Dunstan ones to B&W, I’ve made two of them very pale and I think they would be better b&w, I just cant remember how, Gareth?

The first four are the ST Dunstan and the others the James Fennel.
I hate to think what Howard and Janos were up too!

In PS, I use Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Channel Mixer

Then select, as a starting point, 25, 35, 40 and tick the monochrome

I then create a new Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Curves

and create a slight S-bend in the curve, deepening the shadows and lightening the highlights.

Save as a PSD and then you can come back and play with the layers as required.

Regarding the Oly-5050 resetting, I now always set the camera up on the morning of the dive while I am kitting up as I have forgotten on a couple of occasions, and trying to shoot natural light 'big wreck' shots on ISO 64 is a waste of time

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

Nah. Trim's too good. Clare would be a little more upright than I am.

Although maybe we should offer it up for the next caption competition...

I was going to take those vinyl letters off, but maybe I should leave them on for a little bit...

EDIT: The motion blur on Howard's left arm is because I've just jumped him and he's going for the Conger prodders, which he successfully used to beat off my advances...

I'm sending the shot of Clare vertical in the water, on a Kiss, shagging another member of her team - also on a rebreather out to JJ in the States - I reckon her ITC pass could be a little way off!
