| now back at home and access to pc! thanks to chris for his trip report and the pics which are really good! thanks also publicly to HORSEA ISLAND staff for all their help these past few months in getting this dive off the ground! thanks to the nice navy officer (wearing short shorts!), and HORSEA staff for their excellent briefings with the slide show in the lecture room and the request not to knock off the recently £40K cameras of which there were several in the tank! thanks to all of the divers for an enjoyable weekend and some fun! it was nice to put faces to names! of course there is always one diver who disobeys instructions ..... not naming names but a certain "mermaid hugger" thought the blisters looked interesting despite being told not to enter them .... oops, it was all filmed and he was caught out and suitably told off with the threat of 10 lashes i heard! thanks in anticipation to sparky and dannyB for their offering to decipher the video of the dive, transfer any footage to dvd and burn some copies off for each of us! just hope there is some decent footage! it was most cetainly "jelly fish" soup on the sunday dive and i discovered that they don't particularly like being played and bounced around with either! for those who couldn't make it due to illness or work committments, there is always another time! i'll be investigating the finances involved for a short (long) weekend break either malta or cyprus, towards the end of the year, sept or oct. i am aiming for recreational sports divers (max 6 in number) although rbs not excluded, who might fancy the opportunity to further their diver education abroad or those who just want diving fun! any suggestions or ideas welcome! take care all and stoney vis is good but water very cold .... 6-8C! yep, now a qualified submatix ccr diver! ps. husband's ship got parked in portsmouth sunday morning too, but we missed each other!
