Capernwray - mini report

Moz and I have just returned from an almost deserted Capernwray. Not sure if there were any other YDers there, but only about a dozen cars at most. We did a navigation dive to begin with, and it went very well I'm surprised to say especially as I was navigating. We found the cave/container, then the bell and the heli. Even though the place was near enough empty, it is srange how everyone is drawn to the same attraction. After exploring the collection of dolls inside the heli, we headed for the shelf to do our deco.

The weather was turning pretty nasty by the time we got in for the second dive. I don't think I've ever witnessed waves here before. I was trying my new ali plate and we were both practising with a stage on this. Again it went well. The water feels cold now - my bottom timer was saying 7c for most of the dive. Viz was about 8m. We surfaced in what seemed like a hurricane...still strangely enjoyable.

The viz was top

Was nice to get there at 10:30 and be able to drive up to the shop to get fills and a brew then head on down to the water....

Dave, we were parked along side breathe-easy...

Happy New Year All..

Ah, that was you. We were in the muddy puddle in the corner by the portacabin - which is quite a cosy place to scoff Moz's home made soup, even if it is a loo
