| Tenerife Scuba For Christmas Despite the title, Tenerife Scuba is a club for all year round, noit just Christmas. Yeah An unashamed untactful non-bashful and downright forthright plug for what I believe to be the best scuba outfit in South Tenerife. But first… My Christmas and New Year in Tenerife… Started out quite sedate with a few dives including the steps and Coral Arches but as some numpty at Manchester lost my bag (which contained my paper log) I’ll have to tell you more about these when I eventually get re-acquainted with my logbook. Dives that stood out though without my logbook include the rays (an absolutely fantastic dive and probably the signature dive of southern Tenerife) and the Meridian. Now, I know many divers out there don’t particularly care for the Meridian but they’ve dived it lots and although I have been out in Tenerife for nearly three months previously I never actually got an opportunity to dive this site and I must say it was very nice indeed. There’s enough life to keep you busy including some trigger fish and Tuna and if you want to take a look inside there’s plenty there to keep you occupied there too. Pal Mar Cave was another memorable dive and although I’ve done this one before, doing it with Tenerife Scuba was somehow different. More relaxed, very understanding of diver’s needs (which any dive operation should be) but more than that. More later on this subject I think. Now, while I wait to be reunited with my paper log I’ll tell you about New Year’s Eve… Harry and Emma came out to dive with TS and I suspected they may have been a little at a loose end for NYE so invited them to club Habana (Cuban Ckub in Las Americas). To cut a long story short we all had a great time, I improved on my Salsa a little (not much I might add) and Harry (bless him) decided to can the next days diving and sleep it off. Mmmm… Officer material…? Oh, and I have the photos (currently being edited by Ben with an ‘M’) to prove it. Next day I offered boat cover and as Sarah and I looked on with interest as 2-3 Metre swells threatened to engulf the boat I pondered the likelihood of actually spotting an SMB in those conditions but believe this or not… from well over 50 Metres away and in swells like that Sarah powered the boat up and turned it and spotted an SMB right off the bow well over 50 Metres off. It took me the best part of a minute to see it. Amazing Sarah…! More to come later including photographic evidence that moobs are an Officer’s best friend.

| Well, yeah, missed that. I could have started out with which clubs NOT to dive with but I doubt that would have got past the censors.

| Its often better to know which places to avoid rather than which to go to, as you never know if the one next door you haven't tried yet isn't the best on the Island (cos you know who I'd be reccomending

| Nice one Harlequin, sounds like you had the grand tour. Got to be some of the best low stress diving available with TS.
