Well, I must say it wasn't the most spectacular visit I've had to the place. I've done it on air before, and I can see why it scared the bejesus out of us then.

It is cold, dark and horrible.

I was tickled by the idea of leaving my reel tied on and asking one of the others to try and remove it. I reckon it would have been a 10 minute job, if at all.

I also failed dismally to get Woz to fall for my new torch wind-up. A lot like the rock game, once you've been a victim it rarely works again. Got Jen a treat a few weeks ago, no such luck with the big man.

And Woz hasn't lost weight, nor have I put it on. I am in denial. And you're probably remembering the lean mean 18-year-old machine from years gone by. I've settled into early middle age very nicely. Got a mid-twenties crisis coming up, where I think I'll buy the Ford Capri I've always wanted and start getting into strange sexual encounters...

Swithland is one place that although I have walked past it possibly hundreds of times in years gone by I don't think I ever want to dive there.

Did we cobblers. We were told to park next to the quarry gates so that's what we did. The track is made up virtually all the way and no way was I walking 1/2 a mile with twin 12s and a stage. You are allowed no more than 5 cars on site and that's what we had.
