cyprus diving

Hi,

Not been back to Cyprus since 1992. But at the time dived with Octopus diving centre :-

Zenobia at the time still had 200 packs of Benson & Hedges in the duty free shop

On most of the other sites there was not a lot of life, apart from the old jetty at Dhekelia barracks (not sure if it still is an Army base). At the time we just 'blagged' entry.

The H.M.S Cricket an old 'River boat' which is upside down in 30m was a very pretty dive. I can still remember having to do 'deco' on my own under the boat, as everybody else was diving tables and I was diving a computer (square profile, computers are generally more conservative, certainly than BSAC 88's).

We had hired an old Suzuki 4x4, and needed this to get to the 'Tunnels & Caves' dive site.

Been to cyprus a couple of times in the last couple of years to dive the zenobia. The Zen is great, but outside of that diving in cyprus makes Vobster quay seem exhilarating. An underwater desert!
