Sound of Mull - Hispania & Thesis 17th Feb 2007

Have spent a few hours and have written up last weekends diving exploits in the Sound of Mull out on the Silverswift with Cumbernauld Sub Aqua Club.

You can read it in all its Glory on my deep stop blog linked < here >

Summary for those that dont want to read the full blog..
    • Great Boat
    • Brilliant Skipper
    • OKish Company (Tall Jim's words not mine!)
    • Wonderful Wrecks
    • Superb Viz (15+ Metres)
    • Awesome shortbread
    • Fantastic day out.

    Davie.

Where abouts in Loch Fyne are you planning on diving? Apparently Furnace at the quarry has been closed off to divers. There is a thread on Conger Alley about it. Long way to drive if your intending diving there.

Nice write up Davie, those frog wings are good, I thought the inflator was a tad short but have got use to it and in water I find it just right. I should imagine that homemade backplate isnt to shabby either.............................

Inflator, I will try for another dive or two but I don't like it, too short , been toying with just putting one of my other ones one it.

    The backplate is superb :-)

    Nice report Davie.
The Silver Swift is a good boat and Paul is very helpful. Getting near the time when the boat gets dragged out the garage and hauled up to Oban (probably march). Plan to do the Hispania, Breda, Thesis, Shuna etc quite a few times this year. Just hope the weathers good for the between dives barbie.
