Talking dive day two solo

We had another bash at capers, nearly didn't bother (thoughts of warmer water to come).
We got there for 10:30ish got the bottom end of the car park. (Could do with the excersie!) Had a quick walk to check out the lake side so many diver coming back looking almost blue... Still tough yorkshire couple thought we'd give it a go...
getting suited and booted by a group of gordies amazed at the fact they were going in in wet suits....brrrrrrrrrrr no way! and they said were in the sea last week.... the north sea!!! WHAT! well done to you and good luck with your course.
We had a very smooth dive and the only incedent was my tank sliping out of it strap because of the new plastic mesh!!!(now in the bin!!).
Thats another 28 mins of dive time, if only the wives hands could cope better with the cold, any advise about carpultunnel syndrome (think thats spelt right?) and diving. a really nice dive
Sorry Y D but the next dive mmmmmmmmmm the next dive will be like sitting in a tepid bath with my tank on....(not that I've tried it yet!)
will let you all know how we do on the wreck course, been told there is a new wreck called the white star in paphos, can't wait to have a look 30mtr long in 18mtrs.
keep real and dive safely

A mate of mine always wears a pair of latex gloves under his neoprene ones which seem to work well. Stick them on first then pull the wetsuit top on so that the gloves are under the wrist seals, then put the wet suit gloves on over the top. trapps a bit of air between the gloves and the hands and minimises water contact draining away the heat.

Re: A mate of mine always wears a pair of latex gloves under his neoprene ones.

I thought everyone knew the trick about using a pair of the freebie disposable plastic gloves you find in petrol stations next to the diesel pumps.
Ive used them for years and not only keep fingers warm but make putting the gloves on so much easier especially for the second dive when gloves are wet.

safe diving
Ian

I have started using Scubapro Everflex 5mm gloves this last year. They are really stretchy and thinner than most gloves so there's more flexibility, but my hands are much warmer.

i posted recently about getting some dry glove advice and had a few recommendations to put the latex gloves on first then put drysuit on so there is a rubber on rubber seal, then your wet gloves on top....im of to stoney tommorrow and i shall be trying this out myself!!! hope it works!!

6mm Poseidon ProGlove3 's

These are 3 fingered, Thumb, 1st finger and the rest. They are very warm but you lack some dexterity. Plus the garage gloves underneath.
I have heard dry gloves can be a PITA

Regards
Nick
