50 at last and still counting

At last I've completed my 50th dive, Vobster this morning, so unfortunately not salt water but had a couple of very enjoyable dives with a very good buddy. Linked up with julianbayliss here on YD, he gave me loads of useful advice especially as I was sorting out some new kit and his help made the dives enjoyable easygoing sorting out the new configurations.
First dive (number 49 for me), went in by the slipway and dropped down finning to the wheelhouse, in and around there. We then went on to the Jacquin II finned in and around that for a while then went on and decended to the pipeworks and aircraft. By this time my air was running a little low so we made our way back to the road for our safety stop, at this point I suddenly found out the difference between my old neo drysuit compared to the membrane I was using today. Yes to my shame my legs were going up and I was struggling to get them down!! but all credit to Jules he noticed what was happening and forced my legs down enough for me to get the air out of the shoulder dump.
Second dive (NUMBER 50, at last) after adjusting my weights to improve my trim. We decended down the road toward the tunnel and into the crushing works checked out the maroon escourt to see if any of the part would fit mine, but I think it's been effected by the damp!! we then came up a little shallower and visited th aircraft fuselage, cockpit and on to the small boat. After finning a little further on we then turned and retraced our route coming back up the tunnel to do our safety stop on the road up to the slipway. my trim must have been better because I managed to dump my air enough to keep my legs down this time!!
A really enjoyable days diving, but very suprised to find that apart from the Army and Jules very helpful wife who had come with him we were the only ones there this morning. As a note I don't think I'll moan about YBOD divers taking up all the room on the pallets, the army guys had taken over the marquee with all their kit, but then it was dry and they were a very friendly bunch who were preparing for deployment. I wish them good luck and hope their tour is uneventful.
Doug

Good one Doug and it's particularly nice to see that after 50 dives you're not complacent and still striving to tweak your technique. A good way to stay safe.

I believe my 50th dive was in Vobster, back in July. I'll go for 100 this year
