Dover dive off Neptune 10 March

Picture of the brave souls who ventured out into the rough seas. Worth it though for 3 - 4 metres viz on the 2 hours before slack. Dived the "Mandovi"



Roll on Wednesday for a very neapy tide. The viz is calling.

It was sunny when we left and there goes some more.

Sweet dive, plenty to see, plenty lobsters to get pinched by (good and proper).

it would also appear that new nick names were to be had, for example, ginger stu now = ginger spew, felt so sorry for the poor lad, looked sick as before I got in first time, then got back out again to change my fin strap before finally having to actually attach my dry suit hose at about 10ish m with bruises to prove it, damn suit squeeze! also now included 'keith-spitting my dummy cos my reel has rat nested and I'm going home-henson'.

however, all in all, a real good dive. good viz, goos company and good swell!


p.s. keith wants a general consensus of how camp Jay looks (L of picture behind man drinking tea under lift), was muttering something about 'brokeback shipwreck' or summat................

Right. Let's deal with this in turn:

1) Ginger spew - hahahahah!!! That was funny, although I did actually feel really sorry for Stu, who got up early, drove to Dover, loaded his kit on the boat, looked forward to the dive......

puked for the whole ride out
missed the dive
puked the whole ride back
got a soaking from a massive wave at the entrance to the harbour (and I saw him mouthing "OH FOR F***S SAKE")

got off the boat, recovered....and had a good laugh about it all. Top bloke for facing adversity with a grin!!

2)Laz.....you didn't attach your hose, I did. So there.

3) nice nickname for Keith....that was funny though!!!

4)I look camp do I? Hmmm. Well I will remember that Mr funny man. You've just signed up for a world of serious trouble!!


Great day's diving once again, on the good ship Neptune, with the added bonus of Dave the skipper aiming at big ass waves so that I got drenched all the time. And all because I LIKE standing at the front of the boat. Well it won't put me off, so keep it up!!

it was a lovely 9 degrees. To9 be honest I am thinking of going wet soon if it keeps on like this.

Christ...! dont I look grumpy. I going to practise my happy face next time..
Hopefully keith wont be on the boat to spot check any lobsters I bring up for females. Apparently these must be put back...!
