I am in the middle of writing up the dive reports on my blog and then I was going to post my thanks on here, but it is taking too long to write so here goes my highlights and thanks from the weekend.
The highlights in no particular order...
meeting up with good friends
meeting new YDers,
BBQs,
Scallops, umm Yum
cracking vis on the City of Ghent,
the new lift on the Celtic Cat,
Being able to go diving with Lisa
Thanks for the weekend to
Simon and Andrea for all their organisation, also for the Rock pegs for the tent!
Gary, Kathy, Simon and Andrea for coming to the rescue when Scott and I were struggling to put up the tent
Joe, Tim and Simon for buddying up on dives, I would thank Mark but he buggered off before Tim and I got to the mohegan!![]()
Jane for the fantastic pics of Heather she emailed across today.
Mike Anselmo- for fitting that lift and those benches at last.
And also to everyone else who put up with our children and allowed them to participate, they really enjoyed it. I think Emily has found new friends in Simon, Gary and Paul!!

oooohhhh come on you know you want too...
Look we've got spaces on this trip, loads of rusty metal once you get rid of the fish.![]()
Minerva and Salsette - 7/8th July
and I get to remember all my dives these days cos I chuck a load of He in the mix.![]()
A sure way to cure seasickness is to sit under a tree - Spike Milligan
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast - Ace Rimmer
Dives 2010 = 1 puddle
I've just remembered to put the last dives photo's up, the Carmarthen. The vis wasn't so good as earlier and the wreck was quite flat apart from the 3 boilers and a piece at the bow. The reef was nice though.
The bow section
The rest of the bow
Lobster pot between boilers
The bow again
Conger in the boiler
Lou with Cuttlefish
Cuttlefish on the reef
Another Cuttlefish on the reef

Just thought I'd better make a brief appearance
Thanks to everyone who made it for coming along and making it an excellent weekend, even if it was a bit wet at times!
Special comments must go to:I'm sure I'll come up with some more, although maybe I should take that last one of Joe - apparently I'm scary enough as a buddy to make him throw up
- Gary and Kathy for acting as excellent water diverters and making sure our tent pitch didn't flood by catching it all in their tent - oh and for letting us stay on the way down!
- Mark for putting up with me testing the mp3 player on the scalloping dive - my singings bad enough at the best of times, u/w it must be horrendous.
- Joe for managing to turn our scallops into some delicious grub.
- The 'Pilchards' for providing enough steak to outdo the infamous 'tuns' meat night.
Had some excellent dives - 7 in total, which given the weather down there was pretty good. Think I'll remember the City of Ghent for a while - loads of light at 30m, almost no current, and probably 15m vis![]()
Porthkerris as always looked after us, and the new lift and benches make a big difference to the Cat.
