| Saturday & it all goes wrong Well after having lovely viz on Friday I was out again on Saturday with Dive125 .Weather was if anything better than the previous day & with 10 on board it was comfortable .Out to the west & 3 miles off the Beachy Head light tower for an unknown in in 35m . I'm in 2nd behind Sylvia . Down the shot & it's a lot worse viz than I hoped for but thats the least of my worries ,Hit the deck & just hung for a minute . Thats when it really went wrong my rebreather was like sucking through a collapsed straw ! & I had the worlds worst headache .Ok switch the BOV to open circuit ,at least I can breath now but the head is not clearing so time to can it & up I go .Dave saw me arrive at the surface & worrying that something was wrong he picked me up before dropping the last 4 in . I sat on the boat & thought back to the Friday when my breathing was a bit laboured ,at the time I put it down to not having dived for 10 weeks but now I began to wonder .Skipper offered me some lime & after thinking about it I changed the lime for the 2nd dive . We had a 4 hour surface interval & I laid out on the bunk & slept for 3 of them but still awoke with the headache . We had by this time drifted back east to dive the Alaunia which I have dived many times before & knowing this was the same area we dived the previous day with excellent 7-8m viz I got kitted up .Not knowing the source of the lime that Dave gave me I prebreathed the unit for 10 long minutes to make sure everything was good & in I went . What a difference 6 miles makes we know had 8m viz & nice light conditions .I had already decided that I was not going to run up to much deco & after bagging an easy crab I decided with 8 minutes TTS it was time to go + I was not totally happy with the breathing still Back on board for a nice cuppa & a run back to soverign harbour . Still trying to get to the bottom of the problem but after 3 different lots of lime from 2 different sources & packing it different ways I am going to jump in the pool with it & get someone to check the hoses aren't kinking during use .
