| As Adam says it was a great evening - once the pebbles had been negotiated that is! Visibility was 6-7 metres and so there was plenty to keep the attention during the dive, including pipefish and the two large triggerfish Adam has mentioned. It was my first time at Chesil, and despite the difficulties with the pebbles (I fell over whilst fully kitted up on exit) and my BCD breaking again I had a great evening. Adam and Mrs F are good company and the travel time passed quickly I'm always worried a little about diving in threes - especially where the other two are regular buddies (and married in this case), as the dive group can end up as a buddy pair plus 1 rather than a group each looking out for the other. There was none of this with Adam and Mrs F - we dived as a threesome and kept an eye on each other throughout the dive...just as it should be. Thanks to Adam and Mrs F for the invite and a very worthwhile and enjoyable evening (I was knackered yesterday though!) I'm looking forward to diving Chesil again in the future already! |

| I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I'd be up for it next time too, work allowing.

| Anyone fancy playing 'hunt the Royal Adelaide' on Saturday? Weather permitting, I might be up for it...

| You park in the Ferry Bridge CP near the visitor centre. You haul kit up over the bank and down the other side. On the plus side the stone are slightly smaller! I think Id rather carry the kit over in 2/3 loads and kit up down near the water - it's bloody hard work! |

| It's not that bad by the Cove House Inn, just a small slither down to the sea.

![]() Weather is looking good for tomorrow (slight southerly but nothing to worry about, I'd say). My only problem is trying to source a single 12l cylinder to do the dive on - I think a twinset might be a tad overkill and having to lug it over the pebbles would probably kill me!

[Edit] Ok - if I do my chores tonight (wash cars and cut grass) then I'm free tomorrow Last edited by ShinyD : 10-08-07 at 04:02 PM. |
