It would seem that you all had a great day. Well done - shame i couldn't have been there - maybe next year.

Thanks for a great day, Lloyd! It was really good to meet up with all the YDers who were there, and I'm looking forward to doing it again next year. My wings dried out nicely, with the pink marabou feathers intact and still fluffy, and they've been safely packed away, along with wand, halo, and Frosty's carrot nose, ready for Christmas '08.

Oh, but it was cold!!! Even though I did all my dive training over the last winter (and much of it at Vobster), that was the first time I've felt really freezing cold underwater. Couldn't stop shivering!

    Merry Christmas to you all.

    Email from the beeb:

    Hi guys

Here's a link to the video:

BBC - Somerset - So Somerset - Scuba Santas dive in to help the RNLI

Unfortunately I couldn't use a lot of it as it kept distorting and jumping all over the place once I'd inputted it in.

And here's Sitala's account of the day:

BBC - Somerset - So Somerset - Santa Sitala's scuba experience

If you can email me some underwater photos then I can make an image gallery up.

I hope you all have a great Christmas.

    Kind regards,

    Rebecca

Thanks Lloyd. Sadly I can't get the video to play and as I don't have a degree in computer science it's unlikely I ever will. Is there a way of posting it directly onto YD?

I will have a go. BBC uses Realmedia player for its video so you need to have that installed.

Edit: Just tried to upload the .ram file but the forum doesn't recognise the file type but you can try the following link. I am using a PDA so still haven't seen it myself rtsp://rm-acl.bbc.co.uk/somerset/2007/12/bb/scuba_4x3_bb.rm

Magic - I hope you're making sufficient offerings to the spirts of the scrubber

Do not despise the snake for having no horns, for who is to say it will not become a dragon! So may one just man become an army.

For those of you struggling with RealPlayer, we've reencoded the Beeb's video and stuck it on the Vobster website. You can view it here...

    Thanks for the hospitality Tim.
They were a couple of the best "fun" dives I ever had.
I used more dil clearing my mask due to laughter than I did on the dive!
