Was not a lot worse around the attractions though, apart from the "training cloud" that allways tends to be around them! Definately improving though from the last few weeks |

| Spent the morning at Chepstow, the weather was glorious - like a spring day. Viz at the deeper end is definitely not what I'm used to there and I wouldn't have put it anywhere near 6m on the 45m ledge: more like 2-3m and pitch black below about 30m. Coming up the wall into the middle of the shallow end the light improved a lot and the visibility was a bit better, but only to about 4-5m. The deeper attractions, in around 27m were nice and clear and I got to see the new plane for the first time, but the trainees had stirred it up a lot around the the swim throughs. All in all, a very pleasant morning and I was tempted to stick around for the afternoon, but wanted to get back for the excellent afternoon of footy and Rugby on the telly. Kudos to the Manchester City supporters for an impeccably observed minute's silence, which was only broken by some loud bangs from outside the ground - not sure whether that was a tribute or not, it certainly wasn't appropriate, I thought. Many thanks to Charley and also to Hapless, who I met today for the first time, for a very enjoyable dive. |
