Cool Hard Hat Dive at Scapa

A short video of some fool diving in Stromness Harbour in Standard Dive kit

Note the bubbles leaving the left sleeve as the cold Orkney water got in

I was soaked to my waist by the time i got out

I don't think i will stick to this type of kit as it makes my bum look a bit big

I think it was about 6m deep along the wall there.

It was quite hard to walk, however i am leaning forward towards the camera a lot at one point as i could not move, i think the safety rope or hose were a bit tight then.

The seabed was mildly undulating there as well with some debris which was a bit of hassle to step over. I put my foot in a little bit of a dip both ways and it was difficult to move then.

The ascent is fun, you stop dumping air (done by touching your head against a dump valve behind it) and let the suit fill till you start up, you then try and control it dumping a little as normal.
