| Wow, well done guys, What a trip report. Must admit I did actually laugh out loud when I seen the picture of Howard with his hood tying the line. You'll all be moving in together now to complete the team bonding after that. Davie.

| Heh guys glad you all passed! Erm you didn't say whether you liked Mexican cave diving? When I heard that you were doing Full Cave on rebreathers - I did think that sounded like hard work! Do you think it will impact on other areas of your diving positively? I felt Cave had increased my awareness hugely - there's a lot to take in and deal with eh? Took the wives with you? Uh oh....

I definitely learnt loads on my course. Much more about awareness, communication, and the impact of my behaviours on others. Christ that sounds like a self help group! Very hard work, very enjoyable, and I'd definitely like to go back for a week of relaxing diving. Janos

I agree that caves are like easy wreck. There's no current, no tide, no rush to kit up. The viz is superb and you don't even have to navigate back to the shot or around the wreck as somone has thoughtfully laid a guideline. However, when things go wrong then it's much more serious, as you're either inside the cave and dead, or outside and alive. But when it goes well (and you're not on a course) I found it much less stressfull than a deep wreck. That could just be Mexico and the caves I dived though. Janos

Your almost right. Caves are like wrecks where you have to lay a line and failure to folow that line back sucessfulley to the shot is very likley to result in your death. In terms of risk analasis I reckon I have done much harder and more chalanging wreck dives than the cave dives we did in Mexico. However if you were to make the Mexico caves 70m deep (like the wrecks of simila risk level) then once more the caves would easily have the edge on the brown trouser nature of it all. I said before I wouldent do cave diving OC and having done the course and dived some caves I am 100% convinced diving caves OC is bloody dangerous. ATB Mark
