| First Dive of the Year - Finally Well due to a daft work schedule, some visitors from home and two trips back to the UK since New Year I finally managed to get into the water last saturday morning. The down side was that it was on OC not CCR but the upside was it was on St Thomas, part of the USVI! The water was pleasant enough for a shortie and the viz was slightly better than NDAC!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were joined on the dive by some nice Turtles, an Octopus and a very nice Eagle Ray as well as various reef fish! I dived with Chris Sawyer Dive Centre who were very friendly and professional and would highly recommend them to anyone out that way. Hopefully I can get down to the Keys some more this year

Anyway Viz wasn't too bad at the NDAC on the weekend (24ft swells of the coast ), but i was partnered by Dave who managed to navigate us in a complete and perfect circle instead of a straight line ![]() ash |

I thought the navigation was spot on up to the small detour, seeing it was all done with out a compass and at that point the viz was pants. anyway you didn't even know what side of the quarry we where on at the end of the deep part of the dive so nurrr
