At least you did not make the same mistake as we did and think it was Sat opening hours. I picked Bob up at 6.15 and was 4th in the queue at Stoney for 6.35 am!

We drove over the bridge and commented how lucky we where to get on the bottom car park near the water! The penny dropped as we got to the bottom of the hill to see only a few cars in front .

Ok......... call me a bluff old traditionalist if you will, but surely you need the same weight configaration for your bouyancy regardless of what rig you use?? Whether your at 40m or 15m.

Apart from lugging your kit in and out of the car, and on and off boats then what difference does it make? Unless your shore/shallow diving.

I'm still convinced that 2/3 completly seperate air sources is the safest way to dive.

I understood that to mean if he was diving 20m stuff, it would be on a single cylinder, but ordinarily dives on a twinset.

I have two sets of regs - one set for my twins, one set, which are rigged differently, for single cylinder diving.

Yes I have more weight on my belt. 6kg on my belt and carry 5kg on my tank in a shot pouch.

Apart from lugging your kit in and out of the car, and on and off boats then what difference does it make? Unless your shore/shallow diving.

Now were getting somewhere I used to dive twin 10s and 2 side 7s and was just starting to dive some good wrecks before all the PFO shit kicked in. After failing post op bubble study I decided to go back to basics. Lugging a empty single 15 about after a dive rather than twins is better for me. Although lugging stuff about after a dive is what causes the shunting of blood across your heart an that's not good

Also I dive 40% all the time and to get 2 good dives out of the twins was ok if I wanted to stay shallow for the 2nd dive and come back with about 30 bar. Now I have 2 good long dives and come out with 50+ bar.

I'm still convinced that 2/3 completly seperate air sources is the safest way to dive.

Totally agree, and hopefully one day I will have another set of twins. I keep joking that I will twin up my 15s. I did have a go with my mates 12s a few months ago and loved them, so easy to shut down. But not as friendly as the 15 to throw off after the dive
