Blue Lagoon

We've (Endoman, Secondopsman and myself) just got back from Blue Lagoon after taking Secondopsman for his first dives since passing his OW

Basically a normal first dive, Gun, plane, platform, lost on the way to the "cave" I'd like to blame Endomans navigation as he was leading, but I was at the back checking his bearings and my compass was doing a Captain Jack Sparrow again. We found the platform though and bimbled back via the boat where I got the first shot of Secondopsman taken underwater

Second dive was more like a normal Blue Lagoon dive, over to the cave, follow the bearings written off the map. Surface after realising we are lost to find we've been going in the wrong direction entirely. Surface swim to the bouy of the attraction we were aiming for, sink and off we go again. 20 mins later, back upto the surface as we're lost again, to find that the bearings on the map are the wrong way around and we needed the reciprocal heading. Massive surface swim back to the lorry, got to the bouy where Endoman spotted a fish a baby roach according to Secondopsman. Descended again, had a look around the lorry then back.

Spent a total of 1:01 on the second dive, but with the surface swims the Suuunto has logged it as 3 dives with the surface swims and submerged time we spent about an hour and a half in the water with me in a wetsuit. As it was also the second dive it was getting a bit cold especially with Endomans sedentary pace and the 6C water.

Viz was about 4-5M unless you were behind us when it was the square root of fook all, sorry to anyone else trying to dive there today

When we were leaving they were moving some of the attractions with huge lift bags and a rhib, pormpting Endomans protestations that we were never lost, the bastards must've been shifting things while we were in there

Aye, the very same.

No matter the depth of water, I'd like to see you lift a lorry trailer

I'm telling you we were chasing the bloody things round. They must love it when they see someone writing down beaqrings in the Cafe, gives them something to do.

Attractions seen today.

Big Gun.
Plane, jet fighter type thing.
container AKA cave.
Small boat.
Several platforms.
Buoyancy hoops, another small boat.
Big truck and trailer.

we missed the tank.

No caravan below water that we could find, but one above water.

Max depth that we got 7.3 metres.

There is a lot of work around the site, new stride entry points and paths. As it's only 45 mins away and easy to park / get access it makes a good option for us when everywhere else is busy / blown out.

Q. Why did the razorbill raise her bill?

A. So the sea urchin could see her chin!

Not the sturgeon then? You should try coming across that bugger during an evening dive when it just cruises towards you out of the dark!

Had to dump a bit of "gas" from the suit after that one
