Hi Dowdy,

we dived it on Sunday morning, I was very surprised by the vis, best I've seen in a really long time!

Some good info on this wreck can be found here and here.
Last time I dived it was 31/12/07 and the water was also 8c so no sign of it warming yet.

blimey! not dived that since I was in the mob and left NI in 1995, is the funnel still standing or collapsed yet? there was a dive shop in Bangor (Down Diving) run by Stanley (since passed on to the grand seabed above) and he had lots of brass off it.....there is also a story about the bell which I find feasible in some respects but not in others. Was always a back up dive. One thing I found was the hawse pipes were brass. Started to drill them off only to return a months later and they were gone. someone had some seriuos gear to get them off.

Hi,
I was there last Saturday and I reckon it was the best viz in the last 10 years.
Never heard it being called the toilet ????

Air Chisel,
Your post made me smile I knew the pipes you were talking about, I saw them on and OFF the wreck
People are still trying to chop the wreck up. Someone dropped a very large object on the rear acommadation area and tore it to pieces - you wouldn`t recognise the wreck.
The funnel is still sitting upright.
