| Deep Wrecks In Scapa - The Highlights So Far There will be a longer trip report on this as it has the potential to be a stunner of trip due to the wrecks we have planned and because the conditions are brilliant; calm winds, vis so far on the Markgraf 6-8m and Koln 10m and is looking to be much better outside the Flow! So...highlights to date Andy's car broke down in Abington so I had to pick him up and his 2 twinsets and stages. My car did look like the proverbial dog with worms dragging it's arse on the ground. However, this was nothing compared to Grant's as he had 18 cylinders (2 x 18s, 2 x 15s, 2 x 10s, 4 x Al80s, 4 x 7s) Cylinders so far between the 60 cylinders between 7 of us and 4 cars!! The night out in Thurso was interesting. Needless to say that a mother and daughter will have ever lasting love for a southern lad, if you know what I mean. There was also a phantom sicker in the B&B we stayed in as someone woke up to find a pile of vomit at the end of their bed which they have no recollection of producing!! Saturday morning at the ferry terminal was a sorry sight! Grant bought a pint on the ferry for a 'hair of the dog', drank 1" worth and left the rest of it to evaporate! On the boat there was much kit fettling and the ground rules were laid out by Helen and Hazel. These were summed up as 'don't f*ck up' and 'don't piss us off.' The main aim of this week is to dive some of the deeper wrecks (upto 60m) inside and outside the Flow. Dive's today were Markgraf and Koln. Not much to say other than Ash had a P-valve failure and we broke 3 x Salvos (1 x Andersen connector, 1 x LED buggered and 1 x cable broken) and 1 x OMS light failure. Here are some piccies from today. ![]() AndyC on Markgraf ![]() The Duck on Koln ![]() Wayne on Koln ![]() AndyC on Koln ![]() AndyC on Koln On the Koln there were loads of moon jellyfish between 6 and 12m which Ash has some good pictures and video of which I am sure he will post sometime soon. As with most YD trips, the banter is harsh and coming thick and fast, especially as we have a couple of DIRers, YBOD drivers, 3 x strokey OC bods plus Barry is bring along some MOD2 students for some of the stuff out of the Flow. The trip is shaping up to be a right load of fun. I will try and update this thread each night with the highlights and some photos. Regards

You can't do both. The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits. |

Only 8, who's not taking a stage then? What did I tell you in my PM? How to load a car for Scapa Step 1. Open Boot of car and fold down as many seats as you can allowing for the number of people travelling. Step 2. Go round house/shed/garage/attic/fridge gathering up every piece of diving kit you can find. Step 3. When arms are full proceed to carry and throw it all in boot. Step 4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until no more gear can be found. Step 5. Close boot and leave.
