Talking Big confidence boost

Had an evening trip to the Blue Lagoon with Neilh last night, in preparation for me tagging along with Mr Powells latest bunch of students at Stoney this friday to complete my TDI Adv Trox & DP course.
Dropped in the 6m platform to do some shutdown drills (my particular problem), first attempt was a bit of a horlicks, although I did manage after a fashion and we came back up, after some valuable feedback from Neil we dropped back down, Neil did his shutdown then I had another go, this time with less haste! and hey presto we have success
We then went for a bimble, now Neil and I have a history at BL of finning around the site and missing all of the attractions but tonight was a good night, not only did we find a truck, but the Sabre Tank and the suspended hoops, must say after that we reverted to form, ha, lots of weeds and stuff but nothing else of substance
I felt really comfortable in the water, I've pretty much got my trim where I want it and there was even a semblance of a back kick in there as well (needs more practice!)
All in all, a not very exciting but a highly enjoyable evening dive, thanks Neil, the feedback was good to have and as it says at the top, confidence is high

Nice one Marty.
I've just managed to nail shutdowns so know what a boost it gives your confidence.
Good luck with everything.
Paul

Was a good dip mate, thanks - just remember to keep it slow and smooth and think about what you're doing and you'll be sorted. Tweak that trim and your back kick will start to click into place too

It was really nice to actually hit a few of the attractions this time around - and not go round in circles Having an END of above the surface helped as well I'm sure!
