    Camera course with Mike Ward

I am no photographer, but I managed to get a great deal on YD a few months back and bought myself a second hand Olympus mju and housing.

As I really have no clue when it comes to settings etc, I spent a few weeks bungling about, I read a report on here from someone who had spent a day with Mike Ward having a one to one training session in the basics of photography, and understanding your camera. I emailed Mike and we discussed my interests, and what I would like to achieve within the limitations of the camera I had bought.

We met yesterday at the blue lagoon, and had a really involved day learning about the camera/ settings/ editing/ wide angles/ macro etc etc. We discussed composition, how toimprove my current shots, avoiding back scatter etc etc..... In fact my mind is whizzing away with all the information. Mike was a very patient teacher, and made everything really easy to understand. We spent some time doing "dry " work and trying different shutter speeds etc, and then dived deciding what shots we were hoping I would achieve.

All in all a fab day, and I can't wait to get some practice in over the winter, and improve my shots.... if you are like me and need a bit of help with these things, don't think twice, it really is worth getting advice from someone who know his stuff.........

I have just posted a couple of my favourite ones
